From East to West, the territory extends to about 4,300 kilometers (2,672 miles). For North and South, the territory extends around 4,400 kilometers (2,734 miles). Brazil is made up of five regions north, northeast, central-west, southeast, and south. As it has exactly twenty-six states, a federal district, along with 5,565 municipalities. Brazil includes many different climates such as equatorial, tropical, high-altitude tropical, Atlantic tropical, subtropical, and semiarid. Based on the records of 2012 Brazil had a population of 193,946,886. Today Brazil may nearly have over 200 million residents.
